Understanding SCIM

System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM v2.0) is a specification of a REST-like protocol for unidirectional user provisioning over HTTP. In the SCIM protocol, the central identity management system is called the identity provider (IdP) and the third-party application is called a service provider.

By configuring your existing IdP, you can take advantage of automatic account provisioning in Kissflow. To use provisioning, youโ€™ll need to create a connector app alongside a supported identity provider.

Managing members

SCIM provisioning allows Super Admins, and IAM Admins to manage members more efficiently. Hereโ€™s what you can do with SCIM sync:

  • Create or deactivate a user
  • Create or delete a user group
  • Update user attributes
  • Add or remove users from a user group
