Posts are a great way to share information and collaborate with other members in your feed.

Creating a new post

On your feed page, click Create a post. To add content to a post, click What do you want to say? and begin writing your post. Any URLs you post will automatically show as a preview. Click the Remove button (X) to remove the preview. Click Post when finished.

Adding images and files

To add images and files, click the file attachments button and attach the file from either your local files, Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, or OneDrive.

Kissflow supports the following file types in posts:

  • JPG, JPEG, JPE, PNG, GIF, PDF, DOC, PPT, XLS

The size limit per attachment cannot exceed more than 100MB.

You can attach files in replies and comments as well. All the file formats mentioned above are supported. However, you can only attach a maximum of three files, and the size of a file cannot exceed 10MB.

Using Emojis and GIFs

Click the Emoji button () to insert a wide range of emoji or search for GIFs to add.

Mentions or tags

Use an @ mention to ensure that a member gets a notification about a post. You can @ mention individuals or groups in posts and comments. Type @, enter the name, and then press Enter.

You can use the following @mention tags to notify specific groups of members:

  • @Feed - notify all the members in a feed.
  • @Tagged - notify everyone mentioned in a post.
  • @<feed name> - notify all the members in another feed. This tag can only be used for feeds created in the Organization team to notify members in another feed.

The rich text editor in feed post allows you to format and style your text. You can format your text inside a rich text field in two different ways.

1. You can type a text and select it to view the rich text editor in the horizontal view.

2. You can click '/' to view the rich text commands in vertical view.

The list of the formatting and styling options in the rich text field is given below.

Post options

In the corner of every post is the More options button () that shows different options to choose from.

  • Edit post

After posting, the post creator can change any content inside the post.

  • Pin and unpin a post

You can pin or unpin posts that you have created in a feed. When a post is pinned it stays at the top of the page. Select Pin to top of the page. To remove the post, click Unpin the post.

  • Copy post link

Every post, announcement, and poll has a unique link that can be copied and shared. To get this URL, select Copy post link. When you share it in another feed , a preview of that post will appear.

  • Turn off or on notifications

In addition to notification settings for the entire feed, you can control notifications for individual posts. By default, when a post is created, you'll receive a notification, and will continue to receive notifications for comments and reactions if you also commented.

To turn off notifications for a particular post, select Turn off notifications. You can turn them back on the same way.

  • Turn on or off commenting

By default, all posts can be commented on. When you turn off commenting, users will be restricted to post new comments. However, the existing comments will still be seen.

  • Delete

The author of a post can delete their own post from the feed.

Reactions to posts

There are eight types of animated reactions for posts: Like, love, happy, wow, sad, angry, bouquet, and birthday.

Just click the image you want. You can leave only one reaction per post. To remove the reaction, click on the Like button again. To change the reaction, just click on any other reaction.

Comments and replies

Anyone who has subscribed to your feed can comment and reply to comments on feed posts, announcements, and polls. You can edit or delete your own comment or reply by clicking the More options button ().

Bookmarking posts

Bookmark allows you to quickly access the posts in your feed instead of having to search for it. You can bookmark any post in a feed. To bookmark a post, click Bookmark this post() to add it to your bookmarks.

Click My bookmarks(), left of New team(), to view all the bookmarked posts.

To remove a bookmarked post, go to My bookmarks() and click Remove bookmark() on the post. Bookmarks can also be removed by clicking the Remove bookmark button() on the post in the feed.

Audio player in feeds

The audio player in feeds lets you play the audio inside the posts. You can download the file by clicking the Download button below the audio. You can also play the audio file in fullscreen by clicking on the audio file name.

You can speed up or slow down the file while playing it. This helps you save time by not downloading files every time and helps you keep your work inside Kissflow and not rely on external audio players.

Kissflow chat currently supports MP3, WAV, and OGG files up to 60 minutes in length and less than 30 MB in size.

Live synchronization in feeds

You'll get real-time nudges about changes in any open feeds (that you may or may not be a member of) as well as closed feeds that you're a member of. You won't have to refresh your screen or access via a notification to find the latest changes in your feed.

  • When there is a new post in a feed, a visual indication appears beside the feed name on your page's left navigation bar.
  • Any new posts, post deletions, pinned posts, etc. appears in real-time.
  • Any new post comments, reactions, and replies are also shown to you in real-time.

Removing posts

Feed admins and moderators can remove a post or poll created by others.

To remove a post, click the More options button () > Remove.

You'll be asked to select the reason that best describes the issue.

  • Choose Incorrect for posts that are not right, misleading, or false.
  • Choose Inappropriate for posts that are offensive, violent, graphic, insensitive, or harassing.
  • Choose Confidential for posts that include sensitive information.
  • Choose Other to enter an alternate reason (up to 50 characters).

When a post is removed, the post creator will receive a notification on why the post was removed.
