What is Microsoft Outlook?

Microsoft Outlook is a personal information manager software system that is included in the Microsoft Office suite. Outlook is primarily an email client, but it also includes calendaring, task management, contact management, note-taking, journal logging, and web browsing.

About Kissflow's Microsoft Outlook integration

Kissflow Integration's Microsoft Outlook connector lets you connect Microsoft Outlook instantly with other Kissflow apps and popular third-party applications to automate your work. To integrate with Microsoft Outlook, you must have a valid Microsoft account and be a paid customer of Kissflow. The Microsoft Outlook connector allows you to receive data from other flows or apps and perform specific actions and search actions in Microsoft Outlook. For now, the connector for Microsoft Outlook does not support any trigger events.

Microsoft Outlook connector as an action step

Inside your Kissflow account, click your profile picture on the top right corner of the screen and click Integrations from the dropdown. Now, click the New integration button to provide a name and description for your integration.
Once inside your editor, set up a trigger step, for example, a Kissflow Project trigger event, When an item is completed.
After setting up your trigger step above, click the Add button () next to set up your action step. Search for Microsoft Outlook and select any preferred action step. You can choose from any of the actions listed above.
After choosing your action event, authenticate the connector. Click +Add an account and sign in using your Microsoft account. Kissflow uses Microsoft's OAuth for authentication.
After authenticating your Microsoft Outlook account, add relevant values against the Microsoft Outlook form fields. You can hit Refresh fields to view all the updated fields in the selected Microsoft Outlook form. You can also map Microsoft Outlook fields from your integration trigger step or fields from your previous action steps. These values will be automatically added to item fields after the action is executed.
After a successful configuration, test whether your Microsoft Outlook action step is set up correctly by clicking the Test button. The connector will pull field data from your selected Microsoft Outlook account and display it as a JSON output

Setting up a Microsoft Outlook connector

After creating a custom workflow with your Microsoft Outlook connector's action steps, switch ON the toggle button to activate the Microsoft Outlook integration run.

Note:

If the subscription renewal of the integration fails you can simply turn OFF and turn ON the respective Microsoft Outlook integration for the trigger and actions to keep working.
